F3 - Host Game

Top  Previous  Next

If you want people to connect to your game, then you'll have to host a game. That's where pressing F3 comes in.

Yes, selecting Host Game lets you Host A Game. Once you're in and running, providing people know your IP Address they can connect and join to the game. Its like a party at your house, but in someone elses house, and without the party bit...oh, and without the house. Unless you count Willys house, but thats not real.

Obviously, you need to make sure that nothing is blocking people from connecting to your computer, so make sure you allow JSWO access to the internets from your firewall. Or, you'll be left on your lonesome like a poor lonely person.

And you don't want that now do you?

Once you've started hosting a game, you'll be transported to The Gaming Lounge, to lounge around until folks arrive. If they don't turn up, then either something is wrong on your end, their end - or they were lying to you and had no intentions of turning up.

You know its more than likely they were just humouring you - but if they weren't, then check your firewall, check your router, get them to check their firewalls and routers, something will make it work, I'm sure of it.
