F5 - Sound Off |
Top Previous Next |
This is the Sound on/off option. It turns the pictures off.
No, not that one - it turns the sound on and off, thats it. Okay, its not the most scintillating of options there is, but its kinda handy if like me, there's a wedge of paper between you and the volume control that even attempting to reach could lumber you with a potential A4 sized disaster on your hands.
If the sound option is set to "on" then the F6 key presents you with another menu to choose from.
The default option for "sound on" is to select a music track at random when the game begins. If you wish to amend this F6 cycles through the track options.
The choices are, in order:
random - selects a tune at random atari_jsw.xm - a nice chippy tune c64_jsw.xm - the commodore 64 tune c64_jsw.xm - the second commodore 64 tune manic.xm - a chip rendition of "In The Halls Of The Mountain King" msx_jsw.xm - the msx Jet Set Willy tune pc_jsw.xm - doubtlessly familiar to anyone who's ever played Andy Nobles excellent remake spec128_jsw.xm - the 128k spectrum tune spec_jsw.xm - the only true Jet Set Willy tune, the original in all its glory spec_jsw2.xm - the ingame Jet Set Willy 2 tune
So, yeah - sound on and off. Brilliant, man.
