Overview
Rules
Yahtzee is a very easy game to play. The aim is to get the highest score by rolling combinations of dice. At the start of each round, five dice are rolled. You may 'hold' however many dice you want. Once you have chosen which dice (If any) you want to hold, the dice are rolled again. If you have held a die, this die is not rolled again. After the third roll, you have to choose one of the score slots which you are going to use. The different score slots are explained in the 'scoring' section. You may not use score slots more than once. After all the score slots have been used up, the game is over.
How to play
Yahtzee 123 is very simple to use. At the start of a game, the dice are rolled. To hold a die, simply click on it (You can also click on the picture of the die along the bottom of the screen). The die will become semi-transparent, and the word 'held' will appear over the picture of the die. You can click on a die again to 'unhold' it. The score board can be viewed at any time by moving the mouse to the right hand side of the screen. This is useful, as it shows your total score, and which 'score slots' you have already used up. When you have finished making your choices you can right click, and the dice which haven't been held will be rolled again. After the third roll, the score board slides out, and you choose which score slot you are going to use by clicking on it. When the mouse is held over a score slot, the score readout at the top of the screen changes to tell you how many points you would get if you choose that slot. When the mouse isn't on a score slot, the total score is displayed. When the game is over, if your score is good enough, you can enter your name in the high score table. The high score table can be viewed at any time from the main menu.
