Pages are reformatted

Web pages designed for PC screens do not fit on a phone. Opera therefore reformats pages when necessary. This function can be turned on/off by pressing #.

Out of memory

Make sure you have enough memory available for browsing with Opera.

During upgrade

You may get an out-of-memory message during installation if you have very little free memory on your phone.

When starting Opera

If needed, your phone will attemt to close open applications when Opera starts.

While browsing

If a Web page is heavily loaded with images or other content, your phone may not be able to handle the entire page.

Selecting a new IAP

If you select an Internet access point (IAP) that was not used when you last established a connection, your phone may some times not respond.

Reopen the Web address, and your phone will connect. You can also set Opera to connect automatically.

Transferring Opera

You can use either a bluetooth or an infrared connection to transfer Opera from a computer to your phone.

  1. Open "Connect" and enable either "Bluetooth" or "Infrared"
  2. If you are asked to, enter a name for your connection
  3. Start the transfer from a bluetooth- or infrared-enabled computer
  4. Select "Yes" to accept the transfer
  5. When the transfer is complete, go to "Messaging > Inbox" and select the message containing Opera's ".sis" file

If you already have Opera installed on your phone and you experience problems while attempting to upgrade, open the "Tools > Manager" application and remove your old version of Opera.
